| A-1 Telephoto Zoom 03/09/2010 Searched on the Internet and camera magazines for over three weeks the best zoom lens for my CANON EOS 450D camera and after looking at different brands and their specifications, I chose CANON EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS without hesitation mainly because of it's ideal focal length, image stabilizer and very reasonable price. I highly recommend this zoom lens to all Canon camera users/buyers because it's a gem. Do not waste your time looking for alternative brand/better zoom lens, settle for this one. | Great Value for Money 29/08/2010 I was surprised how good the build quality is considering the price (absolutely no lens creep when the camera is hanging down) and the image stabilisation seems to work really well. So far I have found the pictures taken with this lens to be sharp and have great colour / contrast. It can be a little slow to focus compared to USM lenses, and since the front rotates when focusing / zooming it would be difficult to use with a polarising filter, but for this price I can't complain! If you are looking for a low cost telephoto lens for your EOS then I highly recommend this one. By Matt Linfield | ||||||
