Cameras

Professional Cameras for working professionals in the photographic industry	Prosumer Cameras that span the gap between Amateur and Professional level.	Mid-range Cameras aimed at the enthusiast level, which has the advantage of a cheaper price tag	Entry level The most affordable type of SLR camera, lacking some of the cabailities of more expensive models.
Bridge Bridge or hybrid cameras sit between compacts and SLRS. Functionality similar to a SLR but without interchangeable lenses.

Lenses

Wide angle Suitable for landscape photography where it's important to capture as much of the scene as possible. Telephoto Lenses ideal for capturing an object at a distance. Ranging from low levels of zooming through to high end magnification. Ideal for nature photography.
Macro Used for taking photographs of objects at very close distances. Possible to take photos from as little as 3mm away.	Tilt-shift Affords the ability to take photos in a particular style which blurs the majority of the image whilst maintaining focus at a certain point.
